I've not shot them out of my 280AI but did shoot them out of my 7mm Rem Mag on UT mulies. Sierra has always been my goto general hunting bullet. I have never shot a large game animal out past 250yds? so I can't really comment on how well they perform for long range hunting.
I will say this though. My 280AI with it's 8" twist barrel loves the 168gr SMK.
