I started this thread asking which would be more popular the 280ai or the 7mm Remington Magnum. I ended up picking the 280AI and built this rifle based upon the recommendation of many who chimes in. The rifle is now up for grabs in raffle form. All the proceeds go to the Yellowstone Bible Camp.

If you would like to participate in the raffle shoot me a PM and I'll send payment instructions.
Thanks for all the helpful advice!!!

I'm building a rifle to donate as a fundraiser to the folks at Yellowstone Bible Camp. I have a 7mm barrel Remington long action and long action McMillan stock. I'm trying to decide on caliber, which would you rather have? I think the 280ai is cooler but the 7rm has much more factory ammo support. The goal is to raise money for the camp so I guess the question is which do you think would appeal to more folks?

Good on you! I think you answered your own question.

Don't complicate your good intentions unnecessarily.

I won this rifle (less scope and suppressor) for $20 from a raffle fundraising. My hunting buddy donated it (cost him $279) and generated $1500 in ticket sales ($10 for 1 or 3 for $20). Simple donations from good hearted people generated many returns for the cause.
