280 AI coal??

Anybody shooting a 280AI with the heavier stuff? 162amax on up to the berger 180. What coal are you keeping in repeaters? I'm thinking about rebarreling one of my Tikkas and keeping most everything else stock, meaning my coal has to be 3.350 or less to fit in the mags.

if less than 3.350, what velocities are you getting?

I just got a cooper 280AI. I cannot load to mag length because if I do the bullet is well into the lands. So I have a COAL of 3.225" with a 168 Berger. Shooting 58.5 gr of H4831sc for a MV of 2900 fps. I did not spend much time in load development and am showing no pressure signs. Might play with it after hunting season is over. And the 168 is the Classic Hunter.
