I saw the shooting times pc on the 28 nosler.i was surprised that it said you could neck down the 7 mm ultra magnum of remingtons to make up brass.also it said that redding was making a form die for this . any thoughts on it.i know you will need to thin down the neck but I do this with my benchrest rifles any way.

The 28 nosler and the 7mm Rum are the same caliber. No necking down involved. However, the 28 nosler is a shorter version of the 7Rum, where the 28 noslers case is shorter and has less capacity.

Only because nobody chambers the 7mmRUM anymore.

28 Nosler is headed down the same road.

The appeal serves mostly to the niche super magnum shooters. Once the buzz wears off, only the niche shooters will still be shooting it.
