Anyone running this combo?

Interested in speed and accuracy results. What powder?

Looking to move from the 195 Eol to this bullet as my elk round of choice?

Any elk results would be appreciated as well. Shot placement, distance speed and results.

Thanks

I'm using them in on of my 28 noslers with 81.5 grains of retumbo and a federal 215 primer. I'm getting 3180 at the muzzle. I shot my bull elk with this combo this fall at 462 yards. The bullet went through both shoulders and stopped against the hide on the off side shoulder. The bull took one step and dropped dead. I haven't weighed the recovered bullet but it was a perfect mushroom.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping to get around 3200 FPS.

Maga,

Have taken any game with the 180 eldms? If so what were the results?

I personally haven't, but many people on this board and other places have. They perform the same as the ELD-X 175's

I’m here the 175 will handle a shoulder hit as stated above. I’m concerned about the 180 not handling a shoulder well.

Rl33 and
30-50 thou off the lands seems to be a thing with eld-x’s. The ones we had were strong 3200’s. 26” 8t

The 180 eldms shoot well for me at .03 off as well. Accuracy was never the question. Now you guys got me thinking of staying with the 180s.

I have great loads for the 180 eldm and for the 195s. Out to 1100 yards the 195 fly better for me. I guess I’ll load the 175s and pick a bullet later.
