270 Winchester Norma or RWS to fireform to 280AI

This is a good question. I don't have a ton of experience in this area, but I have used a lot of Norma brass in the .270 and 30-06.

A couple of years back I got curious about RWS and acquired 250 pieces of .308 win.

Compared to Norma, it seems like the RWS is thicker - it has obviously less capacity. I can't speak to longevity - a lot of that depends on how hot the load is (I have Remington brass past 10 firings and still going strong).

I think the primer pockets in the RWS might hold out a little longer, but have not been passed 3f yet. The .308 win Norma brass I have not reloaded. I found some 180gr oryx Norma factory ammo on clearance. Still working through that, or 'fireforming' I guess you could say!

For a .280AI, personally I'd go Peterson.

Great brass, available with 280AI headstamp.
