Hey guy i am about to start loading my 270 weatherby mag and was wondering what you guys have found to be the best powder to use?
Ive read that imr 7828 is one of the best for that bullet?

Have any of you guys used this powder?
What are the best loads you have found for this caliber?

Thanks, Eric

Remember WBY calibers have free Bore from the factory for pressure reasons unless a custom gun then they may not, So getting to the Lands and still be short enough to fit in magazine may or may not be possible.

73gr RL 22 130 TTSX 3400 ft/sec .010 off the lands.
It is a custom so I dont have the freebore.
I tried the 7828 but didnt get the accuracy that I do with RL-22

Also shot 150gr Bergers jammed .07 into the lands with H-1000 powder and was a very accurate load but I am at work and dont remember the powder charge.

I use WBY brass, Fed 215M, 75.5 gr IMR 7828, 130 gr Hdy interbond, OAL 3.380- rifle is pre 64 mod 70 win w/ 26in bbl. Chrono at 15 ft 3475fps. This shoots just under an inch at 100. Same load with 130 SST goes into 2/3 in. Work up to it.
