Finally got my first semi custom back after what seemed like forever but in reality 4 months from start of collecting parts to completion isn't bad at all. I had the rifle put together by Diamond T Rifle shop. I got the rifle back a couple days ago and started fire forming brass and breaking in the barrel. My first 3 round group after barrel break in measured .320 ctc at 200 yards!!!
Here are the specs:
27" Lilja 1:8 twist 3 groove
Rem 700 action that was trued
Timney 510
Talley 20 moa rail
NF ultralite rings
NF 5.5-22x56
Vortex bubble level
Factory walnut stock

Very nice. Tell us a bit more about the 270 Sherman. What is the parent case? what is your load like? and exterior ballistics produced?

The 270Sherman is based on the 270 Winchester. It is improved and the shoulder is moved ahead about .1" for an additional 9-10% case capacity.

It is very similar to a 270WSM in performance. Some of my loads for both are identical.
