.264 Win Mag chrono results

I've been working with Retumbo in my .264 Win Mag. Using a 129gr Hornady Interbond, my load of 68gr of Retumbo (0.5 over max FYI), gave me an average velocity of 3172 with the 24" barrel on my M77 MkII. Extreme spread was 59.95 fps, which Im finding normal with Retumbo, super sensitive.

I have no pressure signs what so ever. So I'm going to keep ringing it out to see what I can get out of it. I think I'm going to switch to RL22 and see how that works out.

I have an old load of 68 grains of 7828 that shot 3360 fps with a 129 grain bullet in my 26" custom barrel rifle.

Be careful with that much powder when the temp starts to warm up. I had to stop at 66.5 grs Retumbo with the 130 Nosler Accubond when the temp got into the 80's. I have a 27 3/4" Shilen barrel on my Rem 700 and I get 3350 fps and under half MOA accuracy. You may want to try a little faster power for your length of barrel.
