I know this has been beat to death but I saw a Video that gave advantages and disadvantages of both and could help some decide which one would be best for them. I reload, so I chose to AI the 260 and get 100 to 150 ft/sec more velocity over the two discussed in the Video as one of the reasons.

I own both the .260 and the 6.5 creedmoor, I like them both but if I had to do it over again, because I reload, I would just stay with the .260 Mainly for sentimental reasons because there doesn't seem to be enough difference between the two to matter to me.

It does bring good points. With all the brass for the creed now it doesn't make a difference between the two. I shoot the 260 where my shooting partner shoots the 6.5 creed. Both produce, both are fantastic! The only thing I like better about the creed is more room in the mag, but I like the idea of the 260 seeming more of an under dog now!

I have both the 6.5 and the 260ai. For any type of match I would run my CM, hunting or plinking the 260ai get the nod. No question if you shoot factory loads the CM is the better way to go. Handloading just the gain in speed is the only real advantage of a 260ai.
A CM pushes a 143/144/147 around 2780-2825. The 260ai is 2880-2950 with the same bullets. Both without showing pressure and good case life.
I tried some 121 warner flatlines, high bc and I could run them pretty fast before pressure signs hit, the cm 3120 and the 260ai at 3200. With that BC and speed they should make a good long range plinking round.

I hunt with the a .260 and shoot long range with both the .260 and the 6.5 CM. The 6.5 CM has provided me better accuracy and seems to have a wider accuracy node.

Factory offerings are better and more available for the 6.5. I thought the creed was really easy to get a sub mpa load for h4350 in the 40.5 to 41.5 works well in all rifles I loaded for
