Axisworks did an awesome job rebuilding my 257 weatherby. I brought them a box stock Vanguard in 257 weatherby with a shot out barrel. They worked their magic and the result is awesome.

Specs:
Weatherby Vanguard Action
Oregon Mountain Rifles 26" Prefit Howage 257 Weatherby Carbon Wrapped Barrel with 1:8 twist
Bell and Carlson Stock with Aluminum Bedding Block and Bedded by Axisworks
Timney Trigger set to about 2lbs
Axisworks 3 Port Muzzle Brake
EGW Rail with Seekins Rings
Burris Veracity 3x15x50

Now it is time to get some Blackjacks and Hammer Bullets to start loading for this thing. This is my first customish rifle and I am stoked to see how it shoots!

That is a sweet looking rifle. Congratulations and enjoy. Sounds like you're pretty stoked about it. Let us know how it shoots. I'm certain it will bring years of enjoyment and memories. Great caliber, by the way!

It ended up weighing 9lb 13oz as pictured minus the bipod. I was hoping it would turn out a little lighter, but it is what it is. The weight is very balanced and should make for a fun hunting rifle.

Awesome! Nice to see quarter bores getting revived!!! Post some pics of groups please!

Here is a the best group from load development yesterday. I think this is ok. The barrel likes to be fouled though for sure. Clean I was getting decent POI shifts between round 1 and round 2 & 3.

Oh, that's right. Once we get some rain, we will go stretch it's legs and get some velocity data.
I got my 25SST (and both my 6.5SSs) verified yesterday, and ready to go kill some pronghorns. 131 BJ @ 3296fps should put a whoopin' on some speed goats.
