H1000 is a good choice but it's impossible to find right now. I would try IMR 7977, it's basically IMR's version of H1000. I would also try IMR 8133, it's similar to Retumbo but you can find it.

I actually have H1000. What would be a good charge weight to start at?
Here's Nosler's load data with 110gr bullets. They show starting at 70.0gr with H1000. I would start there and work up.

H1000 is the bomb in both my Vanguard and MarkV. Tried five different bullets, Berger VLDH was most accurate. No two rifles will be most accurate with the same load, just physics. Your best load may vary quite a bit. Good luck

My Vanguard likes H1000 and TTSX. It groups well under an inch so I never tried too many others.

Mine vanguard s2 likes 100gr TTSX and IMR7828SSC. It cruises at about 3550 and is consistently 3/4in @100...better when I'm really doing my part. I didn't mess with much of anything else after I found that load.
Good luck!

I am running RL22 with 110 Accubonds and easily getting a bit over 3400 from a Mark V ULW with 26" of Barrel. Accuracy is fantastic and RL22 is still very easy to find.
I also use RL-22 with the 120 gr Sierra in my 257. Works great, appx 3350 ft/sec with .75 MOA in my 24" barreled Vanguard.
