.25 cal 131g .330G7 bullet from Blackjack Bullets for you to drool on ...

My issue with misfires, I figured out. It was simply the case needed to be blown out to fit the chamber tighter. The case was .006 shorter at the shoulder than the chamber is. Once I loaded the round so the bullet was jammed in the rifling and shot the cases, it fully formed to the chamber. I've never had this happen before. Glad it's solved. Wasn't sure if it was primers seated too deep or needing to take .005 off the barrel threads. Wasn't the firing pin or spring. Actually was the easiest of all fixes

I've also got a 25creedmoor from PBB that I'm happy with. Shoots the 135s at 2830fps into nice small groups. I hunted with it last year and had great success on 5 different animals out to 670 yards. The barrel profile is annoyingly heavy though.

I am trying a few other powders in the 25 creedmoor to squeeze some more performance out of it. I think if I can reach 2930 or so I would be happy enough to just hunt with it over the 25-284. Likely would get a new barrel in a lighter contour to build a "do everything" steel and hunting gun. I thought I would just shoot the 25creed for steel/fun and save the 25-284 for hunting but I don't really like switching around so much after all.

Interesting side note..25 creed has around 400 through the barrel and through the borescope it looks pristine. My 25-284 is fairly torn up in the throat with lots of fire cracking. The 25-284 also kicks harder, needs to be cleaned more frequently, and is a little more difficult to shoot accurately.

It's been a fun ride but in the future I think I'll own a 25 creedmoor, and possibly add something like 25prc or sst to reliably reach the mid 3100's to see a real performance boost over the creedmoor.

Recoil is very mild with mine. It's around 8.5 lbs w/Carbon fiber barrel. Simms recoil pad makes it a ***** cat really.

Mine is definitely tame. I don't shoot with a brake. But the 25 creedmoor is definitely a noticeable step down in recoil and muzzle blast to me.

Man, I feel really lucky to get the speeds I do with my 25CM and 25SST.

26" 25CM, 135 Hyb @ 2975fps w. H4350 and 1.5gr below max.

26" 25SST, 133 Elite @ 3187fps w. RL23, and 2 gr below max. I hit 3310 w. RL23 and H1000 at max. Had the 131 BJ and 135 Hyb up over 3300 before pressure too.

Building a lighter 25CM as we speak. Hoping for 2950fps w. 133 Elites from the 25.5".

Lance—what blank in the 25 creed? Chambered by axisworks in Tempe? Would love to be getting 2900 in the creedmoor especially with h4350!

I am thinking this should end up around 10lbs to 10lbs 4oz depending on how much weight comes off the barrel during cut down/threading/chambering.

I will be shooting the 133 Elite in this one.
Trying to decide on brass. Either Lapua 6CM necked up again, or Alpha 25CM if I can find any in stock somewhere.
CCIBR4 or Fed GM205M
H4350
Hoping for 2900+

Here's one more option for you. They have 50 packs also.

Heading back out but starting load will be 54.3 grains of RL26. I'll run up to 56 grains hoping for another good node. Hard to beat the last group at 2950 but this 25-284 isn't a 2900 fps cartridge. It's just starting at those speeds. There has to be an equal accuracy node above 3100 fps with no signs of pressure. I'll be finding it if it exists. Be focusing on the 131 Blackjacks. They seem a bit more accurate than the Berger 133s. I'll get 500 yard groups with both eventually.
