Never loaded for 25/06AI, but for 25/06. It was 120gr Nosler lead tip BT. Used it for years. Excellent to better than 500yds. The only problem is they hadn't make them in a great many year.
Presently get out orders for a 25/280AI chambering. Just started. I having a chamber die for seating bullets for my 6mm/280AI chamber. The last thing I believe that needs to be done. The worst part is I lost my spot at my son place to reload at. Detailing out a reloading shack to build, before going any farther. I guess it come in lumps. Having to leave for Mexico-North end of next week. So now it will be in the late spring.

I only ran 115 Berger's out of mine. 26" Krieger with H1000 got me right at 3300 FPS. If you have a fast enough twist to run the heavier Berger's or Hornady I'd try those. Or if you are into speed as mentioned above try a lighter hammer or absolute hammer if you are experienced enough to load them. If your shots are closer I'd definitely go with a lighter hammer.

I have been thinking about this combination and would have been happy with 3200. 3350 is smokin.

110 Accubond...Re22, RE 25, Imr 7828.....Had several over the years... Great Cartridge..I use a .257 Weatherby now with a short freebore... just a bit more velocity and no fireforming.

@Rem81 its a 26 inch McGowen. It started off slow but has really sped up after 150 rounds.
@TX Badger I do not recommend this load. Work up slowly.
I am only getting 3 firings out of my brass before primer pockets loosen up. Can hold 1/2 MOA accuracy out to 1200 as long as I do my part. And believe it or not it's a savage build. At 100 yards I can keep it around .75-1.0 MOA and that is the best it will do. Past 150 it is 1/2 MOA. I have shot through paper at 100 and 200 at the same time, ie 1 target at 100 yards and second target at 200 yards. The 100 yard group will rarely be below 3/4 MOA while the 200 group is consistenly tighter. Craziest thing I have ever seen. I believe its a 7 or 7.25 twist.

Sound like you are hot or pushing a little to much. Loosing a primer pocket in 3 firing. Or what type of brass are you using.
117g Sierra btsp are real deer thumpers. I shot R#22 with a fed 215. NOT high tec, but the 117g Sierra btsp gets the job done in spades. So does the Hornady counterpart!
In my 25/06 AI with 26" Hart 10T, short freebore, I shot 1/2" groups with Nosler 100g Partitions, R#22, 100g Sierra, 100g nosler ballistic tips, and 100g Speer Hot Core flat base, velocity was in the 3650 fps area. 87g Speer hot core flat base shot is exceptional also with R#19 and IMR 4350.

I agree. I thought I was shooting the 115 Berger fast at 3300 FPS. A 133 gr at 3350 FPS is very fast. But my brass did last for more than 3 firings.
