I was also thinking about using a slightly faster powder due to volume decrease.

Never had to change powder due to switching brass. Just changed the load

The initial measurements and the fact that others have had similar results are interesting to me. I did a 10-case random sample of both brands and found only a 0.4-grain difference in average capacity. I may have to go back and re-measure to see if I've made some sort of error. I have a lot more of the Winchester from a broader range of vintage, than I do R-P so that might have something to do with it, I suppose.
