220 swift and Re#17

Anyone burning Re#17 in their Swifts ?

Not at this stage but it does sound like an interesting option. After a search for 220 Swift loads I found a load for 55 grain bullets in a manual.
Start load 36.5 grains 3450 fps
Max load 40.4 grains 3820 fps.
These are from a 26" barrel.

My best load came from R/L 15 & 55 Nol BT

It came from the Berger manual but I made a slight mistake. The top speed is 3830 fps not 3820 as I had written, all other load info is as stated. Load density is 94%.
Is this for your Winchester 1885?

Yes it is. Its a fast bbl 42grs of W-W-760 behind a 53gr Nosler Black tip produced 4,000 FPS .Monday I'll receive shipment of some AA-2700

4000 fps with a 53 grain is what I call Swift! My LabRadar won't even read that high.

Have you had a chance to try loads with AA-2700 yet? If so, how did it perform? I've heard good things about 2700 in the Swift but never have tried it.

I was burning 43.0 and 43.5 grs of AA2700 yesterday out of my Winchester 1885 . Both loads shot very well from the first shot to the last. I'll be buying an 8lb keg soon.
