.22-250 Weatherby Vanguard Youth Stock

I have a brand new .22-250 Vanguard that I bought a while back and never shot. Now that my kids are getting more into shooting, I'd like to get a youth stock for this rifle. I have read conflicting statements as to whether a standard Weatherby Youth/Compact Vanguard stock would bolt up. You can snag one pretty cheap on eBay. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have a pile of vanguards and a Vanguard compact in 6.5cm.

The actions are identical, so as long as your barrel profiles are the same, any vanguard stock of the appropriate action length will be interchangeable.

Whats your thoughts on the Vanguard compact? I'm between that and a Tikka compact in 7mm-08 for when they are ready to move up.
