22-250 Load Suggestions

I use Sierra HPBT 55 gr with Varget and CCI 200 primers. The R700 has a 26" barrel with a slow 14 twist if I remember right.
It's running 3600 fps. Really fun on varmints.
Now I need to get it out and shoot it, after a long couple of years.

I just picked up a used Cooper Model 22 Varmint Extreme in 22-250. I planned on shooting 55 grain bullets in it, but may also try 50 grain. Does anyone have any load recommendations for this firearm? I am very excited about taking it out and shooting it. Thanks
I loaded CFE223, BR4 primer, Federal brass & 50 gr. V-max for Prairie dogs. Just shy of 4000 fps in M700 varmint, 26" bbl. Sure wish it had a little faster twist.

Many powders work in a 22-250. Have had success with Varget, H380, RE15, H414 & CFR223 with 40 to 55 gr bullets. So far CFE223 has been velocity champ.

I have a Cooper model 22 22-250. Love this rifle. First barrel was standard 14 twist. I shot close to 2K 52 grain Amax's with 38 something grains of H380. That barrel shot in the .3's reliably for most of its life. I now have an 8 twist on it shooting 75 grain eldm's with 35 grains of H4350. Its death on prairie dogs and marmots wayyy out there.

I am building a 22-250 AI with a 28 inch 1 in 7 twist tube. Being built around the 88gr ELD-M. I hope to use it out past 600m. Building it on a Ruger VT action.

I've taken prairie dogs a little over 1100 yds with this barrel, but it's still pretty tough in any kind of wind once I get out past the 600 yards or so. Wishing I had gone with a 7 twist but that will be the next barrel.

Speer 50 grain tnt hp and 39 grains of H-380 found this bullet from a 439 yard heart shot deer. Can't beat that performance!!!

It seem all rifles are different in what they "like". Tat being said, my pet load for my 22-250 is 55gr Hornady SXSP in front of 35 gr H380 fired with Rem 9 1/2 in Norma brass (COL 2.350)

Purchased some Vectan a few years back when powder was gold and it was the only thing I could buy. This little recipe works well with my T/C prohunter 28".

If you have any W760 and some 55gr ballistic tips you will do well to try them together. Seems to work well in most rifles.
