Anybody have any load recommendations for 300wby 215gr Berger or the 230gr?
Looking for starting points or book max? Don't got the Berger manual

I have only tryed the 230 in one 300 WBY. it is a match gun used for hunting purpeses. I won't list my max load because it is so far in the red it's stupid!!! BUT ,the only PSI sign I see is after the 4th or 5th firing of the brass I notice that the web area has swelled so it fits tight in the RCBS shellholder on my RCBS hand seater (although they fit fine in another RCBS shellholder in my press). No other signs of pressure....NONE...till I go up three more grains. The only PSI sign I have sen is the chrono reading..... 3200 FPS!!!! I tossed the brass after 7 firings..primer pockest were still ok, but the web issue scared me a little!!! 3200 is still 3200!!!

I would say start around 80 gr or so of Retumbo. I am just starting to try some RL33 in the same tube. I think I started at 86 gr RL-33. that may be a tad high to start with but in this tube I have zeron intrest in the lower accuracy nodes. I have not tryed RL 25 yet. with the 230. RL 25 is my "GO TO" powder in the 300 WBY with EVERY comp bbl I own....works every time!!! Try starting at 75 gr and work up from there.
