Anyone willing to share some load data for a 300 Weatherby using Viht165 or other powder shooting the 210 Berger vld target bullet?

sigsupermatch,
We show for N165:
Minimum= 71.5 grains, Maximum= 75.3 grains
Approx velocities = 2664 to 2793 fps
Approx fill ratio = 95%
All loads are based on a COAL of 3.560 in and a 26 in barrel.
Be sure to read "VLDs making them shoot" in the stickies
Thanks for using our bullets!

Thanks. I have had really good results with your 185 VLD's thanks to those tips you have on the Berger site.
My best 200 yard group to date is .586 for 3 shots and .695 for 6 shots.

Been loading /shooting the 300 WBY for many years. Hunted with it since forever ago. It was the caliber I used in IBS 1000BR for the first few years I compeated (2008, 09, 10) I switched to the Dasher in 2011. The go to powder for me was ALWAYS RL 25. I am constantly tinkering and tweaking loads, trying different bullets/powders. I ALWAYS ended up using RL25!! Used the 210VLD extensivly untill the 215/230 Hybrids came out.

Now, to be honest, I never had access to V -165. I say pick up a pound of RL25 and give it a go.

Good luck,

Tod

Thanks. I like to try different also. Is RL25 as temp sensitive as RL22?

I have never notice any problem, and I live in North Dakota. Shooting in temps from -10f to 100f.

It gets colder than -10, but I reserve that for snowmobiling!

It gets hotter than 100, but I reserve that for golf!
