209 primers

Is there really that much difference in different name brands of 209 primers ? If so what are your favorites ?

Tagging in.....I just bought a muzzleloader and was trying to decide where to start, short of hitting my stash of shotgun primers.

I've been using Winchester 209 primers for years I was just curious what other people thought .

I use mostly Fed. 209A because they are the hottest and I only shoot BH209. They are sometimes not perfectly round so you can have some blowback around the primer. I have shot a lot of Winchester 209 as well and they are very round and also the longest of the 209 primers.

Never had a problem w/ Winchester 209's......they always go "Boom" for me w/o exception.
