They’re a blast. I love shooting crows with mine . Good lord is that a blast
You mean these, and these , my Thompson center venture will shoot with any 204 brand made, all I had done was the trigger by Mcarbo in Florida. A 400 yard lethal weapon if you can make the shot even further. One of the few 204 manufacturers who utilize a 1 in 10 twist rate. Good shooting to you.

Man you’re hard on those yotes. Yeah I’ve shot a bunch of crows with mine and generally they blow apart. My 204 really likes w748 and a 40 gr Hornady bullet

All I've ever shot was Hornady 24 grain NTX, except one time in Adams County Ohio I made the longest shot on a coyote ever , lasered at 412 yards , took him with a HSM 35 grain Berger match varmint flat base hollow point , at 3829 fps with a BC of 0.176. That was last summer in the evening about 7:30. He dropped like struck by lightning. But so did a half dozen this year with the 17WSM, just picked up a CZ 17 Hornet we'll see if I can hit anything with it, setting it up now about two weeks she'll be ready.

Yeah I haven’t shot anything with the Berger bullets out of mine other than paper . They did shoot decent enough bout 1/2 to 5/8 inch at 100 . The Hornady bullets I’ve shot we’re the 40 and the 32 grains . The 40 grain ones my gun liked best by far it’ll hold 3/8 inch pretty well all day long. I have tried the Sierra 39 gr ones but didn’t drt to finish playing with them they showed promise though.
Berger used to have a 55 gr 204 bullet that my first 304 shot very well but I believe they quit making them

I hear you, I don't feel undergunned with my meager collection of varmint rifles. If you can't get within 100 yards of a coyote you don't need to hunt them, I can get em with the two 17 cals out to 350, and the 204 out to 400. No need now to get something with more range than 400, a little off track, however the 204 gets taken out , the 22/250 is a safe queen now.

More 204 carnage. Shooting coyotes over bait gets you lots of these in winter.

@3829fps speed most definitely KILLS. Example: Prairie dog shooting buddy and l were in NM last month popping some PDS. His 55gr VMAX run @3240. My 40 gr VMAX will do 3800! Most shots were inside 150yds. All of a sudden he hears this loud P O P... ''What was? that? Thunder?'' Yep!! ''VMAX thunder''. That extra 500fps made those dogs EXPLODE. Some were cut in HALF. Buddy likes the 55s because they penetrate better. Shoot great in his AR too. l prefer speed because it KILLS better

True words , how else would diminutive 20 grain rounds out of 17 WSM, and 17 hornet kill anything with that tiny bullet. Even the 24 grain in 204 at 4400 fps is amazing , when I hit a gh, coyote or feral thingy's it looks like you exploded a dust bomb on their bodies.
