Great character, where around were you? Just curious if we were in the same neighborhood. Nice buck. Great weather after Tuesday. They were rutting hard.
Just west of Wasta, north of Wicksville. Yep, he was running his herd of does hard. As it got light, I could see 4 separate groups of deer, mostly whitetail, and they were all chasing does. I was actually set up on a herd of whitetail with a shooter buck just out of sight in a draw, when this guy walked out of the same draw. Gotta love having options!

Rifle season is in the rear view. Tag filled in Oklahoma. I should have been a little more patient, and held out for my target buck. But it’s hard to pass up a buck with these cool double brow tines. I’ll survive. Hehe.

The weekend before we saw two bulls about this size, one was on the wrong side of the road and if he would have been bigger I might have kept an eye on him because he was heading twards the right side.
We pickt this guy up crossing the road in front of us 10 minutes before legal light.put the first bullet in him 1.5 miles and 3/4 hour later. Put the last bullet in him about where we expected to see him in the first place?
With a pinned leg and wrecked shoulder on my 59 year old frame a road is a good place to start and better place to finish.
Put the winch cable over the roll bar so even loading him was a breeze
