2019 SHOT Show (ELR-Specific): Day 3 (Thursday, Jan 24, 2019):

See intro comments/context at the beginning of the Day 1 post. To Day 3…

1. NNs/nothing new exhibitors (recall that if a company recently announced, prior to the start of SHOT, those announcements are NOT included here) - ATN, Bell & Carlson, Black Hills, Blaser, Christensen Arms, Corbon, Double Tap, Gemtech, Hornady, H-S Precision, IWI, KFS/Versa-Pod, LaRue Tactical, Leupold, Lilja, Lothar Walters, Lyman, Magtech, Mauser, Minox, Montana Rifle Company, MTM, Norma, Plano, PMC, RAUG, Redding Reloading, Victrix, Weatherby, WOLF Performance Ammunition, and Zeiss.

2. Bergara - notwithstanding that they dropped their 338 LM rifle a year or so ago, I was advised that their Custom Shop will build rifles in that chambering

3. Cerakote - announced a "heat transfer coating" product, see their brief YouTube video at Only color is a dull gray; shipping in the Spring in both oven-cure and air-cure versions.

4. David Tubb - spoke with him in the KFS/Versa-Pod booth where he had one of his Adaptive Target Rifles on display; he was showing his adjustable bag rider buttstock attachment for that rifle - which will be shipping in 30-45 days with a price of $50. He advised that die sets are now available for his 33XC and 37XC cartridges and that his "Tubb Nose Ring" tool will be shipping in 2-3 months at a price of $250, additional caliber bullet holders and cutter sets will be about $110, instructions and suggested settings will be included - pics to follow. Note that bullets need to be pointed prior to cutting the nose ring, tool not included. Finally, something that is both amazing and may be revolutionary, "Tubb Dust". Literally this is a golden-color "powder" that gets mixed with your RIFLE POWDER (10-12 grs/pound of powder) via tumbling in a regular (very clean) tumbler for 5-10 minutes. The result - ELIMINATION of copper fowling in your barrel!. Available now at $35 for 350 grs - $1/pound of powder "coated" at 10 grs/pound.

5. Dead Air Suppressors - (an associated party) advised that they will be adding a 338 LM-capable model this year.

6. DYX International - a new SHOT exhibitor, was showing their 3.5-20x50 Laser Quantum Riflescope with integrated 3000m LRF; they were also showing a range of 2000m and 3000m range LRF products; see http://www.dyxint.com/ for info on all but the scope.

7. Gunwerks - they were showing their new "Verdict LE/MIL" rifle (which they sell commercially), including in 338 LM and NM chamberings, accepting orders now (pics to follow); also on display was their new "Verdict Component Stock", available now with a Rem 700 LA inlet to support 338 LM/NM-capable action (pics to follow); they have also added a mil reticle to their Revic scope; and finally, they were showing "Premium Brass" casings including 338 LM, head stamped circle G.

8. iota - was showing their new "Klutch" Carbon fiber stock, shipping now, see https://iotaoutdoors.com/klutch

9. Jagemann - has added 338 LM and 338 NM brass to their formal offerings, available thru retail partners in about two months; this year, as a favor, one of their senior folks brought in a sample of the 338 LM version (otherwise booth staff had nothing to show - that senior person went and gathered it up for me to actually touch), looked fine, was real; hopefully much better execution this year (the 338 LM product was "announced" a year ago, at SHOT).

10. Kodiak Defense - this Canadian rifle builder was showing their Talon sniper rifle in 338 LM, info and pics at http://kodiakdefence.com/Tactical-Sniper-Rifle.php They will be importing to the US.

11. Leica - was showing their Rangemaster 2800.COM LRF, see http://us.leica-camera.com/World-of-Leica/Leica-News/Global/2018/Leica-Rangemaster-CRF-2800.COM

12. Nikon - added another LRF, the 2000-max-yard, Monarch 2000, see http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/nikon-products/rangefinders/monarch-2000-laser-rangefinder.html

13. Nosler - added the model 48 "Mountain Carbon" rifle (including in 338 Nosler), see https://www.nosler.com/m48-mountain-carbon-rifle); they also added three new .338 caliber bullets, the 300 gr AccuBond Long Range (#58518), the 300 gr RDF (#53445), and the 250 gr E-Tip (#59385) - see https://www.nosler.com/bullets/

14. Remington - I was advised that, effective immediately, their Custom Shop will be building "custom rifles" to customer spec, the only "required" component is a fully prepped Rem action (claimed as well trued as any available elsewhere).
