Well folks, the hunt was over almost before it started. I was headed into an area that I had been glassing a couple days before. I'd seen several good goats in there milling around at 800ish yards, and my 26 Nosler was more than ready for that shot. Driving in I saw a group of three a little over a hundred yards off the road. Pulled past em a couple hundred yards, did the crawl until I could range the truck at 100 yards. Ranged the buck at 264 yards. Bang, flop, three minutes into legal shooting light sitting with my tall bipod.
Congrats on a nice goat! I've never hunted them but sure want to.... Looks like the scenery was awesome too... That's a perfect backdrop to a great hunt.
