2018 New Mexico Antelope

I took a 81.5'' goat west of clayton last year. Coudnt make it this year but my friends did. They reported seeing smaller bucks this year.

I hunted antelope just west of Clayton 15-18 yrs ago but the state reduced the landowners tags by half and places to hunt seemed to get harder to find. Any recommendations on a place to hunt around that area in the future ?

Sorry for the late reply. Got back a few days ago. Goats were skidich this year. I was able to tag out at 9AM Saturday. My buck measured out at almost 14 inches.
Weather wasn't to bad and didn't get any rain. Good luck to anyone going out this year.

Land owner tags in the Clayton area have been cut in half it seems. I am fortunate to have land owner allowing me to hunt in their property for the last 27 years. I would recommend trying to draw a tag from the state.
