T3- I got him at 8:30 am the opening morning, I heard several bulls bugling the 1st hr and they stopped after that. We didnt hear much after that, this one came in silent on me. I heard him break some branches as he came up the ridge to me.

Icanhithimman- i shoot an older Remington 700 ML 50 cal, shooting 338 gr. Platinum Powerbelts with 150 grains of Pydrodex powder. I found the bullet in the hide on the opposite side, it expanded to .9 of an inch mushroom. There wasnt anything fancy about the kill, he came sneaking in on me and busted him at 40 yards with the smokepole. It all happened in less than 30 seconds.

Great bull and with an old smokepole...fantastic. Beautiful country. Where is Colorado is it? Boy's, ya better get them elk now while ya still have some cause the wolves are coming your way!
