The rifle is one of a kind.... a buddy of mine built the rifle. It started out as a Rem 700 short action which he timed and accurized. He installed a longer bolt handle, thicker recoil lug and added a 1-8" Krieger in heavy Palma. The chasis he built from scratch on a manual mill... In the pics you can see where most others are made from aluminum, he chose to fit carbon fiber, (the forend and cheek piece). It uses a standard AR grip, in this case an Ergo grip, and Accuracy International magazines. the mag release is inside the trigger guard instead of exposed on the outside as is a Badger-type. He custom designed the muzzle brake that works great. The rifle shoots 105 berger VLD hunting bullets into bug-holes and recoil is non-existent. It wears an 8.5-25 Mark 4, FFP, TMR with M5 turrets...

Where at in New Mexico did you get that buck? The area looks familiar but then again a lot of New Mexico looks familiar haha.

The buck was killed on a small ranch in Mills, NM.... about 75 miles east of Wagon Mound and 5 miles north of Roy....
