200 Gr. Eld-x 300WM Reloading

Factory Savage Long Range 300 WM w/24" barrel, 200 gr ELD-X over 73.5 grs of H1000 gave us 2890 fps and sub moa groups out to 800 yds.
Well, there are two things I'd like to know and see before I rush out and buy these components and start reloading. One would be pictures of the actual group shot using this load at this distance, the primer used and the case. Hope you get back with me before christmas of 2020

I don't have pics of the groups, I worked up this load for a friend years ago.
I used Hornady brass and Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primers.
Okay, well, thank you. trying to find someone that has a Hornady reloading manual since they say factory speeds are 2850 FPS. Take care and thanks again

I am trying to believe all the hype that is going on with the new Hornady Eld-X line. I recently bought a box of 200 gr. ELD-X (Precision Hunter) for my Remington 700P and shot a 2" group at 100 yards. Not acceptable. I am going to reload my own ammunition now with the same bullet. Has anybody had any luck with this bullet and what kind of groups are you getting? How is the performance down range?
More folks have good luck with them, than don't. Thats why the 220 ELD-X and 225 ELD-M are the first bullets I got to start working with for my .300 RUM.

But rifles are like women. They all like something different, and frankly, with some, you will never get it right.

I'm hoping for the best out of my Remington 700 R5 bases on this information and talking to others who shot the Sierra 175 gr hpbtmk and look at the G7 BC. If this works well in the 300 win mag I'm going to try the 178 gr ELD-X in my 308

Do you know if this was ~ 2,850 FPS and can be shot in an off the shelf Remington 700 without exceed the max chamber pressure
I don't have the numbers in front of me. It was around 2800, not max pressure but getting close. I couldn't tell you about the 700

Okay, thanks. Best information and load I have seen in a while.

I'm running 75 gr of h1000 out of my tc venture with the 200's and getting 2765 with a about .75 moa. Not quite as good as the tikka. I'm running the extra gr in the tikka trying to get a few more fps. For some reason the tikkas I work on seem to run slow. Now if I could just find a box or two
