I Tried some 200 grain Accubonds in the 300 RUM today. Powder used was 95.0-97.0 grains of H-50BMG. Velocity was 3005-3120 F/sec. I am using H-50 BMG due to my rifle generating high preassure with other powders.

Accuracy was sub .5"

The holes at 100 yards were perfectly straight despite using only a 12 twist. Does anybody have any experiance with the 200 Accubond and the 12 twist?? Will they stay stable out to 600 or even 800 yards?

I also tried RL-25 with the 165 XBT/XLC. 90.0 @ 3345 FPS. Easy extraction. 90.0 and the 178 AMAX was 3326 FPS. So far the accuracy looks good with those, but will know for sure with more firings.

Regards!

I too have had wonderful luck with H50BMG. I don't see a problem with stability but the best way to find out is to shoot at 250 to 300yds. If stable there, will be stable till the bullet hits the dirt.
