interesting, following
Alpha doesn't make 6.5 prc brassProof Research 20" carbon fiber barrel w/7.5 twist
Thunderbeast Dominus SR Suppressor
56.2 gr. of RL26 (stout load, but very accurate)
Fed 210 primer
160 gr. Matrix VLD bullet @ 2,930 fps
Alpha brass
Yikes, 60 grs of H1000 sounds way beyond max. Gotta be a very compressed load. Your brass will be toast after one firing most likely.Just did this with a 16" barrel. Gun has a grey birch chassis and I can zip my backpack up around the gun when its folded.
Its a proof steel barrel. Im at 2600 FPS with the 147 ELDM in the white box factory ammo. Shot 2 with my buddies handloads for his 6.5 PRC and I was at 2800 with the 147. I'm very happy with that speed. Thats 60 grains of H1000.

You are correct. Serves me right quoting from memory. Checked my loading journal: ADG brass.Alpha doesn't make 6.5 prc brass
I really don't wish to be a doubting Thomas here but that velocity doesn't seem 100% right, we own two 6.5 PRC rifles with both using 24" barrels. Running N565 59.5gr for similar velocities to your 20" barrel figures. Maybe that's a fast barrel you have.I have a 20 inch bartlien carbon 1-7.5 twist. 56.5 grains of n560 is 2960 fps. Lapua brass fed 210m primer 147 eldm
Me thinks some claims being made here about velocity outcomes with heavier projectiles, are shall we say very optimistic numbers yes we own two 6.5 PRC rifles.I got a slow one (don't care it's accurate). 22" proof, Zermatt action, adg brass, 55 grains H1k, 210M primer, 143 eld-x, 2810fps. Retumbo wasn't much better. Originally wanted to shoot 147's in this barrel. They were stupid slow, like sub creedmoor speeds.

That happens quite a bit on this site. Some just don't understand that pressure = velocity.Me thinks some claims being made here about velocity outcomes with heavier projectiles, are shall we say very optimistic numbers yes we own two 6.5 PRC rifles.
