Helped my longtime friend work up a long range load for his .308. We put our loads to good use this fall. My buddy took a heavy 5x5 herd bull at 460 yards. I took a younger 6x6 satellite bull at 320 yards.

My buddy used a Hornady 165gr Interlock over 44gr of Varget with a MV of 2650 fps.

My round was a Hornady 178gr Amax over 44.5gr Varget with a MV of 2730 fps.

Good deal...congrats! That will put a lot of good eating meat in your freezer. I killed a 5x5 with a bow this year and i know that my freezer is full.
