199g Shock hammer bullets subsonic

Just be careful trying to spin the maker too fast. This is the 168 for 1-10 twist. I fired it from my 1-7 blackout.

That's pretty crazy. Never heard of a bullet opening up basically to its design shape without hitting anything as opposed to just blowing up. Really cool hole it made for sure.

It is. I'm just really glad I didn't have the suppressor on when I was trying them out!! I shot 2-3 of them and this is the only one that hit on paper. I'm pretty sure this was right around 40 maybe 50 yards. I'd have to look at notes.

Left: 194 Lehigh @ 950, right: 200 Maker @950, center: 110 Barnes TAC-TX @ 2375 for comparison. These were all fired into rows of water filled milk jugs so not relevant to flesh, but it's all I had available at the time. It appears that the LeHigh tumbled which bent back two of the petals. The thicker Maker petals do seem more resistant to this. I have taken one mid size doe with the Maker bullet last fall and was surprised at how quickly she went down.

What distance were the hits at?

I have been messing with subsonic loads with some bullets I have or could find. I've got a load of a 180grn 30-30 bullet over H110. I also have a load of 220grn Nosler partition and 215grn Missouri flat nosed cast bullets over AA1680. They are accurate, stable, and run good in my 10.5" AR pistol; looking forward to seeing what they do on pigs.

I would imagine that they will pencil right through without expanding.

Velocity from subsonic bullets does not change near like that of a supersonic. BC Has very little change on sub ballistics. Example: 190 sub-x starting at 1050...
Would you feel they would be good out to 100 yards, can't find any bc information for cutting edge to run a chart to see where velocity drops off
