1885 Winchester max rebarrel length

to the LONG barrel guys out there
heres the story
wanted to do this for years
just about waited too late

rebarreling a late model 1885 to 257 Weatherby.
half round/octagon

been shooting 257 Accumark for years
factory 26 barrel with a brake. shoots REALLY good

want an ultra long barrel on the new project
32 34 36 how long is too long in that accuracy
goes backwards and as important is there a length
where velocity rewards to length declines
any thoughts

I'm sure some folks with 257 knowledge will offer some comments. I have no knowledge with this round. The only thing I'd say is keep in mind that length will affect your rifles balance.
