180VLD hunting VS 175EH in 7rem mag

That's another thing I was wondering about. It said 1/10 twist minimum for the 175. 1/9 for the 180. My rifle is 1/8.7... not sure if that would make a difference

I use the 180VLD Hunting in a 7RM, H4831SC, Fed 215M primer. It's a decent shooter out to 1K using an 8.5 twist Krieger barell. Killed elk with 180 gr and with the 168 gr, deer and pronghorn. I've not tried EH's yet.
Len Backus has the instructions on finding the jump on his thread.
"Finnicky" is not my experience as the jump setting exercise is pretty easy. One 7 mag liked .090, the other .100. Once it's found, I haven't needed to chase it again. I'm playing with 2 other powders just to try them and see if there are improvements to be had.

I was able to work up a sub MOA load with the 175's and 8133 from a 7mm RM 24" 9.5 twist barrel. Velocity is 2980.

I love the 175 EH. 200 yard zero and .25moa

Proof carbon 7mm REM Mag
175gr EH
68.2 gr H1000
CCI 250's
Norma brass
2925fps
I am using this same charge in my 7 PRC with ADG brass and Fed GM210Ms. They are running 2957 in a suppressed 22" Bergara.

I run the 180 VLD in my 7 SAUM. I'm at 2900 fps and it's a killing machine. I think close to 50 animals including 3 eland. Sub 1/2 inch when I do my part. 3 or 4 trips to Africa plus use here in Wy. Deadly combo for me. Never tried the 175's so I can't comment on them.
