178 eld in 308

Just got another 308 22" 1-10 twist have some 178 elds i want to try in it and some 175 smks that my remingtom wth 1-12 didnt seem to like any ideas on powder and good starting spots? Thanks Shawn

Cfe223 will give the best speed but it's a hot powder with a narrow working window.

I use Varget for my 308 for 178 ELD as well as 175 SMK

43gr of Varget with the 178 at 2.810" runs right at 2600fos for me and wicked accurate

Cool thanks i will give that a try my other rifle likes 168 at 41.5 of 4064 i have some varget but never tried it in the other rifle cause iwas gttn this group. Thank for the i fo

Varget, RL15 and 8208 XBR are all fantastic in my reloads.
