I have a question concening twist also. I have a 300 RUM with a Kreiger cut rifled barrel, it has a 1 in 13 twist and is 28" long. I mainly shoot 165gr bullets around 3400fps. I have tried 190 SMK's at 3300fps shooting 8.5" 5 shot groups at 1000 yds. The temp. was 60 degrees and approx. 40 percent humidity, elevation is 2200 ft. I probably won't shoot at any colder temps as I live in S.E. Arizona but I could be shooting at much higher temps, do you fore see any problems? Thank you for your reply

Thanks for the info and the quick response.
1000 yds. will problably be my max distance with this barrel.Once I get better at shooting at 1000 yds I will need a new 1 in 10 twist, 32" tube so I can shoot the 240's.
