168 Berger Classic 7 Mag

Working on a load and found a nice load for my Factory Remington 700 7 mag. Seemed like 2900 fps showed best accuracy. Using H4831 for powder and curious what velocity people are seeing when you found an accurate load.

Just wondering what velocities people found with the 168 Berger Classic Hunter in a 7 mag that were accurate any info appreciated, TIA

I havent tried 4831 in 7RM I use retumbo with same bullet getting 3025

Never got highest velocity with H4831 in anything, but have achieved great accuracy. 2900 sounds a little slow but not terribly. Was running 2960s in 24 inch tube. 1.25-1.5 inches @ 300 yards.

Not Bergers but run 168g SMKs with H4831 and 215's out of a 26". Long cut or short cut no difference and bug holes all day right at 3000fps avg for best accuracy.
