156 eol in 6.5x284 norma

Just did some load/ladder testing with my 6.5x284 Norma. Barrel is a 22" Carbon 6, 8 twist sendero
New Hornady brass sized and trimmed
Federal 210 primers
156 Berger elite
.30 off lands (3.184~3.17" coal)
54.5 gr. H-1000 @ 2840 fps.

Loads start to compress, hit pressure, and become erratic @ 55.4 grains and up with my coal. Shot to 56 grains @ 2880, but it wasn't safe. My guess is my barrel will speed up another 30-40ish fps as I only have 40 rounds down it. Hopefully I'll settle around that 2850-2880 mark with the lighter loads.

Speed node was from 54.2 grains to 54.8 grains.

54.2 2831fps
54.4 2840 fps
54.6 2837 fps
54.8 2841 fps

Haven't put a group downrange yet, but I'll post when I do.
Had good luck with H1000 as well. RL26 seems a bit faster but my consistency was better with H1000 in my rifle. I settled on 55 grains H1000 in mine.

When I did groups with my load, it wouldn't shoot under a minute. Ended up going back to the 140 eol and it shoots .3 moa. I'm shooting 53g 4831sc, 3.119" coal, cci 250's in lapua brass @ 2950 fps.

It was very slow, switched to 565 with good results
In my 26" ridgeline I use 53.7gr rl26 to push 156s @ 2985fps in Peterson brass. Very accurate. My new rifle is a 24" and plan to run lapua brass in it. I will probably set the freebore for a 156 as it works with Hornady 143/147, and Hornady 140s will also tolerate jump pretty well.

Highdrum, I just got a Ridgeline and haven't reloaded for it yet. Still deciding on dies. I was wondering if you had any issues with magazine length loading the 156 grain bullets. Thanks.

Ridgeline is a long action so you're good. The freebore is excessive. I'm running 45k of lands and bullet is half way up the neck.
