Yesterday I loaded up my first 20 of these 150g SMK for my 6.5CM. I know alot of people have had trouble getting 1/8 twist to stabilize these. The ogive is very long making the jump to the lands very long despite my seating them to 2.891". My rifle has proven to shoot most things very well regardless of conditions. It has a 26" shillen 4 Grove ratcheted rifling barrel. I'll be going to the range here in the next two weeks to make some groups on paper. Let me know if you think they will group or fly catewompus!

I have 700 153.5 Bergers ready to load... so I'm hoping they group.

What are the specs on the bullet? I'm failing to find the specifics on them on the Sierra website.

You should be good to go. I have a 156 EOL load, in a 1/8 24" & 26" barrel.
I was very interested in the 156eol when they can out until I started watching videos of people shooting them at lower velocity through ballistics gell. Have you hunted/killed anything with them?

Shot and confirmed, yes. Hunted , no. This is actually a back-up rifle/load, if one of my main hunting sticks happen to go catastrophic failure?! A 700 yards and IN load, if you will. A Peterson SRP case, full of RL17 @2741 avg fps.

Thanks, I did see that, but do they provide info on length, bearing surface, etc? I recall seeing it from Sierra before, but might be in an old physical book.
Must have been the book ....

Measured the bullets so here's the spec from my box:
OAL= 1.488"
BBTO= .760"

I had some problems with brass that gaive me an unforseen set back. However from the target it seems the 1:8 ratchet shillen stabilizes the 150 sierra. Also the Hornady seat stem for the Atip is needed to seat the 150mk
