I went out shooting this morning with one of my buddies from work. We decided to set up at 1405 yards to begin with before the wind and mirage got too bad. At our firing position we had a 2 mph wind from right to left and at the target we had a mirage from left to right at 2-3 mph (just a guess). The wind wasn't constant and would increase from time to time so we were just swaging it. After a few shots I got on the target, which is the high shot on the gong, and then my next one went just left of it according to the spotter. The next 2 are the ones that are about 2" apart. All in all I was pretty happy.
We then moved to 996 yards. My first shot was the high shot, not sure what happened there but more practice is needed for sure. The next 2 are right at the aim point. Not a great group but a fun morning for sure. The first pic is the 1405 yard pic. The impact on the right on the 996 yard pic is from a 7mm-08.gun)
