133 Berger Elite 257 Weatherby

7828 has been the go to for that cartridge with 100-120 grain bullets, it's been available lately also. Never personally used it with anything heavier than a 120 though.

I just got off the phone with Cory (I cannot remember his LRH username) from Berger Tech support, and here are some powder recommendations he has that I have in my powder list:

IMR 7977 - 59.2 - 65
H1000 - 61.1 - 67.1
Retumbo and IMR 8133 are the same - 63.8 - 70.1
RL33 - 67.7 - 74.4

Cory said the H1000 is the ideal burn rate for the Berger 133s, and COAL is 3.309."

Berger tech said IMR 8133 and Retumbo are one and the same powder ! Does CNN or the New York times know this ?
No, they are not the same powder, but it just so happen the recommended min and max are the same on their record. Also, ...

It's a load recommendation they currently have; what you do with it is entirely up to you.

Since H1000 was on the list too ...

However, they do not have different load recommendation for the IMR 7977 and and H1000.

I got the same start up loads from Berger. I began with retumbo. And pretty much stayed with it.

Didn't get the velocity I was hoping for but definitely acceptable. 69.4 grains is putting me at 2950 fps. The accuracy more than makes up for it.

My set up is basically the same as yours. REM 700 re barreled to a 1-7.5" with a tru 27". It's a heavy barrel and will serve its purpose hunting mostly out of blinds or high racks.
