Bullet will be the Accubond, I have a 100 of each. Game is deer, bear and Spike elk. Distance up too 600. Rifle will primarily be used for deer. I'm also shooting a 270W with 150s @3000.

Accubonds have performed extremely well for me. 140's would probably be a better multi use bullet.
You do need to keep the impact velocity at 2000 fps and above for proper expansion, this will determine you effective range.

If you run the ballistics it's really close. If you can run the 130's 150 fps faster it actually edges out the 140 for velocity and energy to 600. I know I have run the 130 .277 at 3200 and it has been a killer. I would think if you could get the 130 to 2900-3000 with R26 it would be the same. The 140 may penetrate a little deeper with the extra mass.

In a 26" barrel you can push a 140 over 2900 with rl26, the three rifles I have tried it in all hit the start of stiff bolt lift around 2950, and that was with a very compressed load. I didnt find it to work that well with the lighter bullets from the 6.5cm's I have had, you can't get enough in the case. RL17 will get you over 3k with a 130.

I have to agree that Given the same bullet (say berger vld) swapping from a 130 to a 140 is a wash ballistics wise.

130's really shine in the creed. As stated above it's a wash between the 130 with the added velocity to 600yds. A creed with any bullet is around a 600ish yd max gun for hunting IMO.

its gonna be which ever one your rifle shoots the best darn near equal in performance

I like the 130AB in my 260 (just like the CM) for deer, but would use the 140's if they shot better or game was bigger (bear or elk).
