I used 7977 in 6.5-06(similar case capacity)with 129 and 140. Shot accurate and gave me better velocity than H4831. Hit pressure at 56 gr with 129 LRAB. Best load was at 55gr. It's very to close to H1000 load data. I would start 1-2 gr under min with 140 data if your going to try the 153's

Have you done a berger style seating depth test with the 140's?
You should be able to get those 129's up over 3000, closer to 3100 from 6.5-284 powder dependent. With 4831 probably more like 3000. Either bullet I would do a seating depth test on them.
