Budget does not mean it isn't capable. Right now I'm sitting behind a crusty old rifle I bought new for $400 several years back (and had several barrels replaced, current is a factory take off), has a scope I bought on clearance for under $200 shipped, and shooting factory ammo. Last I shot it at extended range (a few weeks back) I was smacking a 5" swinger at 625 meters with boring ease.

I'm thinking that on a Hunting fourm you would actually need to kill something. SOOOO...for me it was a 1 shot deer kill at 1029 yards about 20 years ago. All other kills since have been 900 or less, even though I am MUCH better prepared now for the ELR kills.
