Recently picked up another .300WM and pairing it with a Quigley Ford with the intent of building a 1000y rifle. I don't currently reload so trying to figure out what my best factory load option will be to reach out to 1000y. Rifle is a Weatherby Vanguard

You're gonna have to try a few types of ammo to see if your rifle likes one of them. You'll likely improve your chances by trying match grade ammo from Federal, Hornady, and Berger.

$3.50 a round before shipping, but I'd imagine this would be a good bet...

Many would consider the 215 Berger to be one of the top choices for hunting also.

Sig was awarded a $10 million contract from the US Army to manufacture so-called MK 248 MOD 1 and MOD 0 .300 Win Mag ammunition for use with Military sniper weapons.

This is basically the original A191 load:

There are a couple of manufacturers making ammo that runs up to the 3,000 fps mark but all have notes about pressure.

My load uses the Badlands 195 gr. SBD2 for longer than 1,000 yards accuracy running 3050 fps.

Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for the advice! Decided to give the Federal Terminal Ascent 200g a shot first but might try out a few others listed.
