x-bolt

I recently purchased an X-Bolt Max LR chambered in 300 PRC, according to Browning it is their standard long action. However as I am trying to mount my base rail, a Leupold Backcountry Cross slot base, the X-Bolt LA doesn’t fit it. Has anyone else had this issue or am I missing something?
