Hi TB, Can't help you much. It was a Lawton barreled action built by Barney Lawton before he passed. I never did anything with it so it was never fired. I like the cartridge and someday probably will build another.

I can recommend a good smith for you - Mike Alfeldt in Stephens City, Va. He is also the head engineer at C-more systems.

Hey I just ran across your 338 Edge barreled action. I see that you've sold the action, just interested in your experiences with the Edge. Was this your first build? Reason I am asking, I also live in VA and love big, long range rifles. Who was the smith? Where in VA you at? Sorry for so many questions, you're just the first one I've seen on here from VA.
