Some dimensions I measured....

0.442 - width of weatherby trigger housing

0.418 - width of hole in bottom metal where trigger housing won't fit.

0.580 - width of outside of bottom metal where it fits into stock recess

0.636 - width of stock recess

Looks like making the bottom metal a little wider and making the hole for
the trigger housing a little wider, everything would fit.

Perhaps -

0.442 - width of weatherby trigger housing

0.460 - width of hole in bottom metal where trigger housing will now fit

0.620 - width of outside of bottom metal where it fits into stock recess

0.636 - width of stock recess

Could this be made? It would be just as strong as before...

Hi, been busy!

The hole for the trigger mechanism isn't recessed, so the stock Weatherby trigger housing stops the bottom metal from seating.

I was going to ask you what kind of trigger you used that will fit???
