    Hunter I have a kimber subalpine that started out as a 280ai and put a Hart 9 twist 284 win barrel on it. Has around 300 rds down the tube and now will not eject the fired brass. It's like it swells to the point that I have to use a rod to push it out. Get good bolt lift but resistance when pulling the bolt back. Have you ever experienced this on one of your Kimbers?

    No , I have not had that kind of trouble , My Adirondack would not eject the case from the gun , the extractor would stick in the open position, simple fix , just a burr !!!!! Not sure what could be causing your problem, after that many rounds , I also have a subalpine in 280AI , no problems yet !!!!

    Thinking about twisting the original 280ai barrel back on it and see if that's the problem. We considered the action, but may very well be the bolt
